Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash se distingue par sa mécanique de fouet et zip-lash unique, permettant de vaincre des ennemis et d’atteindre des plateformes de façon créative. Le style charmant et la présentation joyeuse plaisent aux plus jeunes. Cependant, le jeu est souvent critiqué pour la répétitivité de ses niveaux, son système de sélection frustrant et ses niveaux véhicules peu réussis. Le gameplay manque de défi et de variété, il convient donc surtout à ceux qui aiment les jeux de plateforme simples avec beaucoup de collectibles. Les joueurs expérimentés risquent de s’ennuyer rapidement.

This chibi-robo is a little different, before chibi utilized different abilities and was quite the sleuth and a great fighter. This time he does all his crime fighting with his cord and it could get confusing for younger kids. The story line is all but forgotten in this game other than chibi runs around whipping his cord and finding little baby chibi's. It's side scrolling and it's like playing Pacman with a twist just going up down and forward looking for little chibis and of course picking up trash. I like the game I just wish there was a little more content to it like a storyline. It would be nice if they came out with the original chibi-robo on 3ds instead of just gamecube.

Although this is a decent platformer, Nintendo packaged it with an Amibo which you were forced to purchase if you want to play the game. I don't appreciate that. This game also has very strong product placement and advertising of things like candy and potato chips in it which I feel is completely inappropriate for a game that is a) aimed at children and b) something you're paying full price for. I got this game on sale for $35 which I thought was fair but I wouldn't recommend paying more than that. Wait until you find it on sale for less.
