NHL 16 sur Xbox One est salué pour le retour de modes populaires comme EASHL et Be a Pro, et le gameplay est nettement amélioré par rapport à son prédécesseur. La présentation est très réaliste, avec une ambiance et des sons authentiques dignes d'une vraie diffusion télévisée. Le jeu est accessible aussi bien aux nouveaux joueurs qu'aux plus expérimentés. Cependant, les modes en ligne souffrent souvent de problèmes de connexion, et l'IA prend parfois des décisions illogiques. Toutes les fonctionnalités appréciées des anciennes versions ne sont pas revenues, et les matchs simulés donnent souvent des scores irréalistes. Dans l'ensemble, NHL 16 est un grand pas en avant, mais il n'est pas sans défauts.

My favorite hockey game since Sega 94. Countless features to personalize each game. Easy to customize in every mode I played. Online play was smooth.
