Mass Effect 3 est salué pour son gameplay affiné, ses personnages profonds et son audio impressionnant. Les combats sont plus fluides et l’arsenal d’armes est plus large que jamais. Cependant, de nombreux joueurs sont déçus par la fin, qui ne reflète pas bien les choix précédents. Les missions sont principalement linéaires et l’exploration est limitée. Certaines fonctionnalités appréciées, comme le multijoueur, manquent. Malgré ces défauts, c’est une belle conclusion de trilogie, surtout pour les fans de l’histoire et des personnages.

Minus two stars for the amazingly horrible ending. Of course, I was warned about that by my friends who played it, but still. Who on Earth thought it was remotely acceptable to end such an amazing trilogy on such a disgustingly depressing note? I appreciate a dead hero well enough from a distance, but I don't want to be one, even in a game. If I did, I wouldn't play games at all: I'd be in the army.

Best game ever... Honestly the story-line gives you exactly what you expect.. An amazing ride with heart tugging moments.

Mass Effect 3 is a fantastic third-person sci-fi action game, held back by an atrocious ending. Pros: Amazing sci-fi universe with alien races, planets to explore, etc. Excellent action-oriented gameplay incorporating a class-based party system. Great graphics and level design. Great soundtrack. Continues the great Mass Effect story (up until the ending - see cons below). Decent multiplayer addition where you can play as many different alien races while fighting AI hordes. Cons: Atrocious ending which completely disregards everything you did, and the choices you made, throughout the past 3 games - for many people it ruined the entire franchise. While Mass Effect 2 streamlined Mass Effect 1 by improving the gameplay but keeping the most important RPG elements, Mass Effect 3 goes too far and removes too many RPG elements from the game - it's now an action / third-person shooter game through-and-through.
