This is a padded canvas bag, not a neoprene sleeve. Just the right size to carry your 17" laptop, charger, mouse and maybe a few small accessories. The outer edge of the bag is stiffened only by the inherent padding--there is no frame or otherwise reinforced edge. Each side has an external pocket: one with velcro'd flap for thicker items, one with simple velcro closure for flatter items. There is also a pocket on the inside for papers. Highly recommended!

It's big enough for the computer, power supply and mouse with a pocket on both sides. One has a flap and holds a few papers and pens. The other pocket is open and is where I store the power supply and mouse. If you plan on carrying many papers or other stuff you will want something larger, but if you're only interested in protecting your 17" notebook this is a perfect size.
