I’ve had 2 of these now, and the quality has gone down hill. While they are great in size and settings, 2 pieces at the bottom of the jug detach too easily, which means it makes a horrible noise sounding straight from hell. Even if they don’t detach, sometimes it doesn’t sit well and makes the noise. A grinding noise, that makes me want to throw it and myself down a cliff, get resuscitated and throw myself over again, and repeat this cycle over and over. It can take up to 10 minutes to have it sit right. The base its self also flakes. The first one I had didn’t flake, but this second one, you’d think it had dandruff, but don’t even doctor prescribed anti-dandruff shampoo could fix it. So while the design is sleek and good to look at, I’d probably froth milk easier if I could shrink myself, get in the jug and run around in it.

I was after a stainless steel frother and this one is great. It has a variety of settings and heats and froths well. Only negative would be the plastic covered magnets that actually froth the milk. With the issue of PFAs I would prefer the entire device that is coming into contact with consumables be made from stainless steel.

A beautiful and sleek milk frother, that produces excellent milk drinks hot and cold! Classic black adds sophistication to any sideboard.

I bought this in April of 2021 and used it pretty regularly. After the first few weeks, the silver paint around the top began to peel a bit. I found it surprising, but kept on using my beautiful new Smeg. I understood that it is temperamental--blending could be tricky, or the magnet could unexpectedly move out of position. But yesterday when I started my Smeg to have my morning coffee, it began fine, but slowed and came to a halt. I checked the usual cuprits and decided to consult with Smeg. Smeg directs its customers to (of course) an automated system that is ineffective. I got no answer (after several attempts). SMEG, CUSTOMERS NEED SERVICE. REAL SERVICE. I WILL NOT BUY SMEG AGAIN UNTIL YOUR RESPECT FOR CUSTOMERS CHANGES.

Product was shipped and delivered in an open, unsealed, damaged manufacturer’s box. Completely unacceptable packaging. Worthless.
