I placed these on my TV console because I wanted separate audio sources. These speakers have mellow mid tones and crisp high notes and deep base, considering the size. When combined with a sub woofer, they are more than adequate to provide the full range at high volume with no distortion.

Love the finish because they match well with wood furniture- which is my preference for TV stands, dressers, side tables... you name it. They are not too big and I am extremely satisfied with their performance. I have them as surround speakers in a 5.1 set up including the larger Polk signature S60's, large S35 center, and MASSIVE Polk HTS 12 sub-woofer. I got them on sale for $130 and did not find it necessary to get a bulky rear set with about the same range and the same power handling. STOKED on my decision because they are very sexy on my wood end tables, and don't look bulky or out of place. Added them after i purchased the 3.1 setup and they created a perfect sound field for my movies, shows and more importantly music and gaming!
