Bought the disk, was a bit thrown off at first as the disk had a different sticker on the front. Manufacturers website said the disk was out of warranty. However it does say on the website that it is an OEM disk, checked with support staff, the warranty is honored by scan. So it's all good. As for the product itself, using it as a backup disk for a server (daily writes), performance is fine. The only thing to watch out for is the thickness. If you think all 2'5 inch hard drives have the same thickness, think again. For use cases like: servers, NAS, computers, youll be fine. But for laptops and consoles, check if there is enough headroom for a thicker disk.

I cant give this product a good review because the last 3 i have bought have failed after a few months. unfortunately these are the only drives we can use in our sever so i have no choice but to keep spares and then deal with Seagates awful customer servce to get replacements when they fail

As stated in the review title if you're looking for a large amount of storage space and, are not concerned about being as fast as a ssd this is an incredible option.
