Seagate SkyHawk ST2000VX008 2 To

This item arrived,and when we received the DVR it was intended to operate, the HDD did not work. Contacted the seller to no avail. There was and is no help forthcoming from the seller. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I have Smonet NVR that died on me. The Toshiba HDD was pretty noisy and I could always hear it clicking away. This thing is so quiet I wasn't sure it was working but it is. Video quality is good and I'm hoping this one lasts a while. Since it's a purpose built drive I think it stands a good chance. I wouldn't use it for other applications though.

We have installed and had our distributor install hundreds of these in security devices over the past year. So far they are doing a great job. Not to mention that in Wisconsin they are subject to extreme temperature conditions.

I hooked this product up and it worked pefectly as expected. I had to return it for reasons not related to the product.

Have an old Lorex that I plugged this into. Could not have been easier to install. Plug in, format, and done.
