The previous hub, ICY BOX IB-AC6401, gave up after 4 years. A bit short for such a basic product! Unfortunately, it is impossible to leave a review on LDLC, where I bought it and which still sells it. When I check my account, I see that I can't give my opinion on equipment bought more than 3 years ago. Too short to have an idea of the reliability of the products. The TRENDNET TU3-H4E does the job. The 4th port on the side is handy for a one-off connection if necessary.

New mac mini only has 2x USB 3 A ports and 4x USB 3 C ports. To connect all of your devices you need a hub. I found several hubs cause finder to lag and cause the mouse to skip. This one is especially bad.

Works well with low power draw USB units but fails to allow two 4 TB USB powered G-drives to operate simultaneously through the unit via the USB 3 port on my 2013 MacBook Pro (the left side USB port and the port with the most power). Is it possible that the G-drives draw too much power through the USB port, and that a powered USB port is necessary? Both drives can be read simultaneously but upon file transfer one or the other is dropped and large transfers are terminated.

Took it out of the box and plug it into my iMac, plugged my keyboard in one hub and a flash drive in another hub. Two out of four hubs used and my computer works perfect.
