Just used in group ride today 8/22/26 -- terrific!! Purchased online 8/19 after my Edge 530 screen cracked from fall on 8/18. Am so glad I read reviews here before purchasing. Big screen, easy to navigate. I miss the side buttons that are on my Edge 530, and am still getting used to the touch screen. Kind of confusing on how to get back to home screen. But, expect this to get easier as I use it. Easily connected to my Garmin heart monitor. Easy to activate and brought over my info from Garmin Connect seamlessly.

As a long time Garmin user this was an easy upgrade from my eight year old still functioning Edge 1030 even with the faint blue edge around the screen and so far the Edge 1050 has not disappointed me. The price and availability on Tredz was a no brainer and once ordered the item arrived within a few days, adequately packaged.

The battery life is really bad. I was seeing 10 or maybe 15hrs of battery life. That's fine if you are doing shorter rides, but if you need something for really long events, go with the 1040 or even 1030.
