Le Garmin Edge 1040 Solar se distingue par son autonomie extrême, surtout lors des sorties ensoleillées et en mode économie. Le grand écran couleur et le GPS multibande précis facilitent la navigation et l'entraînement. L'interface est nettement améliorée et l'appareil réagit vite. Cependant, la recharge solaire dépend de la lumière, donc l'avantage est moindre par temps nuageux ou à l'ombre. Le prix est nettement plus élevé que la version standard et le format imposant prend beaucoup de place sur le guidon. Pour les cyclistes passionnés, c'est un modèle haut de gamme, mais pour les utilisateurs occasionnels, les nombreuses fonctions peuvent être excessives.

This was an upgrade from my Garmin 520. Wow! the battery life is outstanding, on a 5 hr ride the solar charging meant the battery only dropped 9% . It also brings many other features too. Yes an expensive piece of kit, but well worth the money.

Hi, I bought this the battery life is fantastic. I've given it to my partner and we also got a 1050 as I was struggling to see the navigation screen without my glasses when cycling ( my fault i need to buy prescription saftey glasses) anyway both are fantastic the 1040 solar far superior to the 1050 but the bright screen on the 1050 I like and it's simple to work.
