Le Garmin Edge 1040 Solar se distingue par son autonomie extrême, surtout lors des sorties ensoleillées et en mode économie. Le grand écran couleur et le GPS multibande précis facilitent la navigation et l'entraînement. L'interface est nettement améliorée et l'appareil réagit vite. Cependant, la recharge solaire dépend de la lumière, donc l'avantage est moindre par temps nuageux ou à l'ombre. Le prix est nettement plus élevé que la version standard et le format imposant prend beaucoup de place sur le guidon. Hi, I bought this the battery life is fantastic. I've given it to my partner and we also got a 1050 as I was struggling to see the navigation screen without my glasses when cycling ( my fault i need to buy prescription saftey glasses) anyway both are fantastic the 1040 solar far superior to the 1050 but the bright screen on the 1050 I like and it's simple to work.

After a long ride this device usually shows between 80% to 90 charged. As such, there's no need to worry about running out of power even after 12+ hours in the saddle. Navigation isn't as good, especially with gravel as other brands of bike computers. However, the 1040 solar is as near to perfect as possible.
