Great keyboard for tactile enthusiasts who grew up with IBMs Model M keyboards. May be too loud for shared office space. Hope they dont stop making these keyboards.

I bought this for work and for typing it's great - the black switches feel nice and clacky as I'd hoped and the action is smooth. However, everything else about the keyboard is a disappointment to be honest. The molded plastic has an uneven finish with stress marks on it from manufacture and it shows fingerprints easily. The top and bottom don't fit flush so there is a sharp overhang on the back and left but not on the other sides. It's also lighter and flimsier than I expected. The printing is variable and there aren't even the usual bumps on the home keys to help with touch typing. Although I wanted a keyboard with no frills (it's for work after all), I'd expected this to be more than made up for by premium build quality but it really falls way short.

Though it arrived 1 day late, it is all worth it. I am loving the clicking sound and all. Best keyboard so far

Le clavier est emballé dans un sac en plastique au lieu de la boîte de CHERRY, ce qui est très bizarre, même si l'emballage d'Amazon est très bon.

I currently own THREE copies of this keyboard, they all work well and I love it. I keep one at work, one at home and the third was a replacement for the first work one bought back in 2010. I've been a software developer for 15yrs and I think this is the best professional mechnical keyboard. I first bought my Cherry G80 around 2010. Since then I tried several gaming mechanical keyboards (Corsair, Razor) but I still find the G80 to be the one to go to. It has perfect understated looks to keep in the office, unlike the gaming keyboards which looks slightly over the top for a professional environment. It's price is great compared to the gaming keyboards. For the price of one gaming keyboard you can buy 2x G80s - keep one at home and one in the office - and your muscle memory for touch typing & IDE shortcuts will be spot on.
