The band area where it touches my forehead is very Soft. It’s very comfortable to wear it all day even during bike ride. I can put a helmet over the hat. This hat help catches the sweat from dripping down my forehead. Loves it.

Bought this hat because I also get very sweaty in general and saw a review that said it was good for people who sweat a lot. Plus: the sweat marks come off with washing. Cons: the sweat is definitely visible as a dark rim around the bottom of the cap on the rock river green one I got at least. It’s not subtle. Fit is decent (a bit long on my small head) and the brim doesn’t feel like it offers very much sun protection, but better than my other hats which all have permanent sweat stains on them!

I needed a good athletic hat and didn’t want to spend 80 on a Melin hat! This is worth every penny! Love this hat!

I wear a Patagonia hat most days of my life. Explicitly purchased them for years and recently my wife got me one of these new guys. Super lightweight, breathable and looks decent, if not a little dad-like. I'm pretty tough on my hats and don't wash them regularly - its been only a month and this'n is showing all the signs of a 2 year old lived in hat that has threads fraying, stains and fading. Kinda a shame because it's a good enough hat but I probably wouldn't buy it myself, not for the price. I'm a massive believer in Patagonia and they usually do fantastic work but this one just missed a bit.
