L’Oakley Mod1 Pro est un casque de ski et de snowboard à profil bas doté d’une coque extérieure en Dura-Matter robuste, ce qui le rend plus résistant aux bosses et à l’usure quotidienne que de nombreux modèles in-mold classiques. Associé au MIPS et au système Skull Matrix, qui relie le réglage BOA 360 Fit à la couche MIPS, le casque offre à la fois un ajustement très précis tout autour de la tête et une protection renforcée lors d’impacts obliques. Les aérations fixes sont optimisées pour le flux d’air du masque et contribuent à limiter la formation de buée, tandis que la doublure en Polartec et les oreillettes amovibles assurent chaleur, gestion de l’humidité et entretien facile. En contrepartie, le casque est un peu plus lourd que le Mod1 classique, ne dispose pas de ventilation réglable et se situe sur un segment de prix plus élevé, ce qui le destine surtout aux pratiquants réguliers qui recherchent durabilité, ajustement précis et technologies de protection modernes.

I purchased this ski helmet, excited to finally try skiing with it for the first time. However, my experience quickly turned from excitement to fear due to a critical failure of this helmet during my very first use. As the picture shows, the helmet cracked almost completely through after what should have been a manageable fall. This level of damage is unacceptable for a product meant to protect your head during high-impact sports. The integrity of the helmet's material was clearly subpar, leaving me questioning its safety standards. A helmet is a crucial safety tool for skiing, and this one failed spectacularly when I needed it most. Fortunately, I wasn't seriously injured, but this incident could have ended much worse. I cannot recommend this product to anyone and strongly urge the manufacturer to reevaluate the design and materials used. Safety should never be compromised, and this product missed the mark entirely. Do not risk your well-being with this helmet!

I measured my head and the helmet fit my head perfectly. But the ear flaps stuck out too far and are not flush to my ears. They would not keep my ears warn. Returned.
