L’Oakley MOD1 est un casque de ski léger et discret, au style épuré inspiré du skate, qui séduit par sa simplicité et sa facilité d’utilisation. Le système d’ajustement BOA 360° resserre le casque de manière homogène autour de la tête pour offrir un maintien stable et confortable, tandis que la boucle magnétique Fidlock permet de l’attacher ou le détacher très facilement avec des gants. Le casque est conçu pour bien s’associer aux masques Oakley, ce qui donne une interface propre au niveau du front et aide le masque à rester bien en place. En contrepartie, la ventilation reste assez basique, l’intérieur peut paraître un peu simple pour les riders exigeants, et toutes les versions ne bénéficient pas de technologies supplémentaires comme le MIPS. Pour les acheteurs qui recherchent surtout un casque de marque stylé, abordable et offrant une protection solide, le MOD1 est une option intéressante, à condition de ne pas attendre une ventilation très réglable ou une finition ultra-premium.

I purchased this ski helmet, excited to finally try skiing with it for the first time. However, my experience quickly turned from excitement to fear due to a critical failure of this helmet during my very first use. As the picture shows, the helmet cracked almost completely through after what should have been a manageable fall. This level of damage is unacceptable for a product meant to protect your head during high-impact sports. The integrity of the helmet's material was clearly subpar, leaving me questioning its safety standards. A helmet is a crucial safety tool for skiing, and this one failed spectacularly when I needed it most. Fortunately, I wasn't seriously injured, but this incident could have ended much worse. I cannot recommend this product to anyone and strongly urge the manufacturer to reevaluate the design and materials used. Safety should never be compromised, and this product missed the mark entirely. Do not risk your well-being with this helmet!

I measured my head and the helmet fit my head perfectly. But the ear flaps stuck out too far and are not flush to my ears. They would not keep my ears warn. Returned.
