As if they are not already making a massive profit with ink cartridges, Cannon have now stopped producing their XL size cartridges (which did offer a better value for money) and replaced it with a smaller size, thus increasing their already huge profits, at the expense of the everyday users of their printers!

Apparently (according to my seller) Canon have changed the product, but not the product code. You get the 541XL, but a 540L (much smaller than 540 XL) and photo paper (which you may or may not want). Not value for money, and certainly not what I wanted. My seller recompensed me with a free recycled 540XL cartridge. He said that it is no longer possible to get 540XL Canon. I believe this, as I could not track one at all. IF he is right then this seems a sneaky trick by Canon. WATCH OUT
