Canon 051 (2168B002 ) - Noir - Toner

DO NOT BUY THIS SCANNER!!! Canon dropped support for the drivers years ago. If you have updated your operating system in the last three years on either the OS or PC platform the drivers will not work and this scanner will be a paper weight!

i used this to scan all my old print photos and i currently use it to maintain a paperless office. works like a champ. don't use the OCR mechanism though, some of the characters will get jumbled and you'll lose the original document. just name things so they're easily found on the file system and it'll work fine.

Loved it! Played perfectly with Dell running XPProfessional. Used all features with never a complaint. Of all 'appliances' purchased to somehow assist me, this was at the top of the list for functionality provided without problems. Alas, the Dell died and was replaced with another running Windows OS 10. It was then I learned that there are no drivers compatible with OS 10 for this scanner and (well after a year later) no apparent Canon plan to provide either a driver nor a new scanner of comparable capability.

Used item that probably would have been fine, but, when I opened box to check contents and found, the film holders that are part of this item when new, were missing. Purchased to scan a large number of 35mm slides, which cannot be accomplished with holder. Sent message to seller, who apologized, believing that it contained everything that was included when new and said I could return for full refund. 3 stars for inconvenience of having to return and look for another scanner, but, 5 stars for the seller's quick response and apology.

I truly enjoy using this scanner. Much faster than my old scanner. It saves me time when a have a host of receipts to scan.
