I bought a cheap Dell Inspiron 3670 a while back at Costco and while I didn't expect much from it graphics wise, the onboard graphics were just plain terrible. I was not looking to make a major investment but wanted an upgrade to passable gaming. Nothing great, just getting the job done enough to enjoy the game and not be distracted at how poor the graphics were. This card was easy to install and worked with no issues. The only in my Dell was to make sure you install the drivers. When the card first booted up, Windows recognized it as a generic card and reported zero video memory on board. After installing the drivers, it loaded up correctly and made a massive improvement in game quality. Overall install time was less than 10 minutes. I'm very happy.

Seems to do the job. Set up of drivers etc could be easier.

I have an older computer running Ubuntu 18.xx with an AMD Phenom 9600 in an MSI K9A2 Platinum motherboard. I had been using MythTV with my TV tuner card and decided to go with Plex Pass as the guide integration is better. When using MythTV the client was responsible for decoding the Mpeg2 stream(s) and I had no issues with my server hw. Plex is transcoding it to H264 on the server and it was maxing out my processor. I bought this card, downloaded and installed the NVidia linux drivers, and plex is now using the vid card to transcode the video and my processor usage is around 50%. All of my other content is Direct Streamed as I've ripped it in compatible formats with my clients, and uses no CPU. So now my live TV is playing without stuttering, I'm happy. I don't notice a difference in the quality of the TV video stream either.

I felt great about this product when i got it a first. obviously, because I had never had any real GPU or computer parts before. However, I opened it up, and put it in my computer, i put it in the RIGHT PSI slot (the only one it fitted), connected my HDMI, power on my system, and NO SIGNAL. I first tried to switch which connection it was going through. i switched it through from HDMI1 &HDMI2, but nothing worked. So I tried for 2 WEEKS to get it working. but when I went to J car, they told me it should be able to just connect with and HDMI. so that's when i knew it was faulty. So i returned it, but even that was a hassle all by itself! next time, I'll make sure to buy something From a local website that I can trust and return things if need more easier. And yes, my system has an i5 2400, 320w PSU, 4gb DDR3 RAM,500gb HDD, and a 80gb SSD. I'm pretty sure that's enough but I could be wrong. But last time i checked, the Geforce GT 1030 2gb is a perfect match for the i5 2400.
