D-Link DCS-8000LHV2 mydlink Mini

If all you want is a lower resolution image and slow notifications but something easy to install & use, these are perfect. Notifications via the paid subscription are about 3 minutes behind - odd but that is how it works despite having great signal. Light years better than a battery operated system but nothing like a POE system’s cameras.

The picture quality is crisp and set up was simple. The only issue I have had is the motion alerts on the app for motion detection are not very accurate or snappy. If you're setting this up inside of a window looking outside, like most people would, the camera seems to be way too sensitive to bursts of light such as a car passing by and even if you have areas selected to ignore you will still get false alerts for movement.

Been using D-link, they cloud base is not stored in China so data and images won't be sent to China.

I set them up when we’re going to be away overnight so I can check on my lizard’s tank mostly. They’re so easy to set up and take down. There’s a big range of view and the night vision is good enough for me to see a thermometer. You can also zoom the picture with your fingers, like on an iPhone. The dLink app is easy to use. I get pissed off pretty easily with tech stuff, but this almost runs itself. I’ve added different dLink cameras for different purposes and in different homes and I can see them all from one app. I live by these!

Second package of cameras from Dlink that do not connect to the internet. Dlink refuses to help or replace since these are discontinued items. We have two previous identical units that work well! Do not buy!
