I am impressed with the kettle. It boils quickly - full kettle just under 6 min. It looks stylish and the blue light gives it very modern high tech feel.

I dont know if my kettle was just faulty or if it is a general design flaw of the model but it was really tricky to get the kettle to sit properly on the base - and it has to sit properly for it to switch on and boil! lots of jiggling and rotating needed. Even worse when time comes to remove kettle from base - hot and full of boiling water - one has to shake, jiggle and then if all else fails try to rotate kettle from base. Quite dangerous actually
