I chose this kettle because it has a removable lid, which is not very common for an electric kettle. I like the fact that I can take the lid off and let it dry once it has boiled so it allows less time for scale to build up. It's a bit on the bigger side, but it's not bulky and hasn't taken as much space as I had expected. It's also a lovely design and it matches my kitchen perfectly.

We're delighted with our new Philips Conscious Collection Kettle! It is, we can say in all honesty, the best kettle ever! Super quiet and given the handle design, it's really comfortable to pick up to fill and use. Plus we are in a very high limescale area and not sure why but it seems to deal with this perfectly - so less descaling events on the cards! It also looks great and importantly it pours well without any spillage - unlike our previous kettles! We would definitely recommend this kettle!
