Better than TV speakers. Not the best system but its Samsung and easy hook up and pairs well with Samsung TVs. Although if you want more bass spend more money and get something more powerful Update : I cranked the bass and sub to the max and turned on game mode. Now its rumbling

I didnt know which one to buy but ended up choosing the r450 as it was the least expensive The subwoofer is not that loud, just give some depth to the sound, but as I live in an appartment building that is perfect! I dont even put the woofer to the maximum to be happy with the sound If you tend to watch tv/movie/game with the volume extra loud, the soundbar will probably cover up the subwoofer, but if you dont usually put the volume super loud it will be good enough, you just have to set the volume of the soundbar and the subwoofer to balance it however you like Of course if you live in a house or a soundproof appartment and you want the "movie theatre effect" or are used to high quality sound equipment or usually set the volume extra loud, maybe go for the r550 or r650 But if you are like me, just wanting to improve your tv sound, get a good sound quality and a good base without making the walls shake, the r450 would probably be more then good enough for you
