Fibaro Capteur de mouvement Multisensor Gen5

There are a lot of motion detectors in this type of form factor, but these really are the best. Have not had them long enough to test battery life. I love that they include temperature. They are EXTREMELY responsive. A little configuration over Z wave and I got them to the perfect sensitivity for my office (to keep light on when I'm in the room and turn them off when I leave). Well built and clean looking, blend into the ceiling/walls very well. The ONLY reason I rated these 4 out of 5 is the price. It seems a little excessive when other motion detectors in this form factor are HALF the price. Granted this one is more responsive and includes temperature, but I doubt that DOUBLES the R&D/manufacturing costs.

When you watch the high end video of this premium motion sensor and read all about what it can do... you are quickly disappointed that unless you're ready to learn how to write your own code... you will only get a fraction of the features with a Smart Things Hub integration. This will probably be going back for a cheaper one with less features but at least all of those less features will work...

I bought this because it was both a motion sensor and a temperature sensor. However, I would have been better off with a Dome Motion sensor and a Samsung Multipurpose for the temperature. I have three of them in the house and they all give false positives. Or if they aren't false... I can't find the motion. And yes, each time I turn down the sensitivity. I would keep the one on my dryer because it tells me when the motion has stopped, but that's it. Oh, then I had to buy Fibaro outlets because they are z-wave PLUS and I needed a repeater to get the signal back to by hub.

Had alot of issues pairing using Homeseer SEL. Finally got it working, then started getting false motion detected. Motion range is also very poor, only got about 10 feet. Originally purchased to use the thermometer function, but decided it was not worth it and returned the item -- replaced it with GE 34193 motion sensor, which works great so far !

The only iffy thing is the mounting clip. But, it holds it fine.
