Manfrotto 357 Plateforme Coulissante Universelle

This item was listed under the 'Accessories' tab for my Manfrotto tripod head so I assumed that meant it was what I needed, as I was looking for a second tripod plate to keep with my camera package. Unfortunately, when it arrived, it was not the right size and didn't fit. Also, the photo is misleading as this plate doesn't come with the 2 standard size screws to mount to the camera. Instead, it comes with the smaller sized screw and a screw adapter to size up the smaller screw to the bigger hole, which is a big pain if the adapter gets stuck in the bottom of your camera.

Much bigger and heavier than expected. Easy to use

I bought this clamp and plate to upgrade an older tripod, and to use on a monopod when I am not using the Manfrotto Gimbal mount it fits. Both delivered promptly, well packaged and work exactly as planned. High quality products.

This plate works smoothly with the Manfrotto 393 gimbal head. It easily attaches to lenses and camera bodies, and then slides right into the 393, and can't fall out of the head unless released by the user. I have one plate attached permanently to a Nikon 200-500mm zoom, and this 2nd one free in may bag to attach to anything else that needs to go in the head.

If you want to know what you will get in the mail, you need to look at Manfrotto 357 Pro Quick Release Adapter with 357PL Plate. This has the same bad description of the product, but shows the correct image of what you will get. So for me, I was not satisfied because I need to put a 3/8 screw in the slot for my camera. The 3/8 does not fit, there is no hole with rubber stop. It comes with (1) 1/4 screw and a small threaded 3/8 adapter to place on the 1/4 screw. Not at all what I want. But, this is the only plate I can find that would work on a Manfrotto 510 head. They dont make this model anymore and someone gave me this, so I want to use it. I will modify the plate myself, but B&H needs to fix their image and description to match what they are selling.
