I bought this to go with my new EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6mm IS USM lens. It works like it should. I do think that Canon should include this item with the lens.

The felt lining the inside of the shade is a really nice touch it fits my lens perfect and as with everything else I have that is canon I have no complaints.

I heard a few reviews of third party hoods not fitting well so just went for the Canon hood for my 15-85. I don't regret my decision. It's definitely more expensive but fits perfectly and is built nicely. Would recommend this. One thing to note is that the hood will create a shadow if you use the internal flash (sometimes). Remember to remove it when you use internal flash.
