The batteries DJI make are dangerously unreliable and die after a year even if you only used them a dozen times or so. Dji wouldn't even tell me what was wrong with my battery or confirm that they couldn't fail middair. Without a battery this drone is useless, obviously.

Got one it had internal errors on the board, returned it and the replacment came with a battery that wouldn't charge. Gave up returned that one got my money back and went to best buy to get one that I could check before leaving the store. DJI have absolutely horrible quality control.

Let me start by saying that this is an excellent drone. I actually love it. Unfortunately, the new companion app is dangerously flawed. Disconnects and crashes occur 3, 4, 5, sometimes 6 times a flight. The last time I flew, my app crashed in a very compromising situation. When I reloaded the app, it recognized my Phantom 4 as a Phantom 4 Pro, and would not let me change it. This forced me to return my drone and land it manually. Luckily, I was responsible enough to stay within my line of sight (which you should always, always do.) This flaw rendered the app essentially useless. Having said that, there are a handful of phone models that don't have many issues. But don't think you're safe if your phone is on the "compatible" list. Mine is on that list, and it certainly doesn't act like its compatible. Very disappointed with DJI. They ruined what otherwise is an excellent aircraft with a dangerous, irresponsibly flawed app.
